As an evangelist, my number one objective is not convincing everyone that The Bible is the Word of God. Instead, it’s more important for me to spread the gospel of salvation.
You can be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and not believe that the Bible is the Word of God. But, as a believer in Christ, you’ll face the consequences.
The only way we mature as Christians is by growing in God’s grace and truth. Truth isn’t relative. We all don’t get to decide what truth is and what truth is not. God has spoken to us. He has told us that “All Scripture is God breathed.”
It’s what we need for reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. It breaks my heart to hear believers in Christ attacking The Word of God. As if God’s Word doesn’t face enough opposition from unbelievers.
Today, many believers doubt the Word of God. And, even worse, many are writing books attacking the inerrancy of Scripture. Inerrancy means that The Bible is without fault and without error.
No doubt, believers that ignore or attack God’s truth are among the believers that walk as enemies of the cross of Christ, as Paul describes in Philippians 3:18. Because you can’t grow as a Christian without God’s truth. Without faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, “without faith it is impossible to please God.”
